Every day the two saplings would become a little larger and stronger, their roots eagerly crawling closer and closer as the gap between them grew smaller. Each of them mourned their lost love and the oak’s severed wood as thick sap poured down their trunks, and a profound silence eclipsed the night. Txxx Soon another great rain came and darkness swallowed the skies that filled with furious crackling and blinding flashes of light. Of these many lovers they were all unspeakably gorgeous and wrapped in the shimmering white feathers of their own wings, their every feature a perfect work of art that would dazzle any mortal. Falling back into a deep slumber, the once insatiable woman curled up into a ball and allowed life to begin.
